Stunning that it was EIGHT years ago Overstock launched the 1s legal & registered securities token in the US.  It was a bond for Overstock, a public company and it was issued on Bitcoin using Counterparty.

Ahead of it’s time. We need to foster this innovation more everywhere.

I was on the team that issued the bond on Counterparty. I learned a lot, which informed #Ravencoin. The meta data is gone from the bond offering because only a shortened URL is on-chain. @Ravencoin and IPFS fixes this.
